Children transferring to Secondary School

At the age of 11, children transfer to secondary school. Prior to the transfer, all the local authority schools and academies arrange opportunities for parents and children to look around the school before being asked to complete a preference form. Admission to secondary school is on the basis of each school's admission policy.

The majority of our Year 6 children go on to attend either Rosebery, Blenheim or Glyn schools.

Some children transfer to other secondary schools. Further breakdown of the numbers of children that attend the different secondary schools in the area is available upon request.

Parents wishing to discuss transfer to secondary school are invited to contact the Y6 class teachers.

Those seeking places in independent schools should make contact directly with the school involved.
