Train to be a Teacher

School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)

Are you or someone you know, considering training as a primary or secondary teacher?

Glyn SCITT

Stamford Green Primary School works in collaboration with Glyn School who offers initial teacher training (ITT) to graduates and career changer graduates joining the teaching profession through our School Direct programme. School Direct is a school-based teacher training route where trainees work alongside highly experienced classroom practitioners and spend a greater proportion of their training in school, in order to gain the knowledge and skills needed to become excellent class teachers. In addition to learning on the job, trainees follow a comprehensive training programme delivered in partnership with St Mary’s University Twickenham.

Surrey South Farnham SCITT

11 schools across Epsom and Ewell (including Stamford Green Primary School) are working with South Farnham SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) to recruit talented individuals to train to be teachers in a Surrey Primary School.  They are looking to recruit 180 trainee teachers next school year across Surrey and we would like some of those new trainees to come from and train in Epsom and Ewell. Many of the trainee places on this scheme are funded. If you would like to inspire local children to fulfil their potential and realise their ambitions we really want to hear from you and discuss it a bit further!  The scheme is looking for applications from individuals who have the capacity to train to become outstanding teachers.  Please see the school website for further information. Alternatively there are 3 Informations Events running across Epsom and Ewell in October look on the SSFSCITT website for these dates and venues.
