Our School

The facilities inside the building include a hall with good gymnastics equipment, a well-stocked computerised library, a children’s kitchen, a number of group teaching spaces, a bank of 60 iPads, a set of 30 mini laptops and a set of 30 fully-networked laptops which allow the teaching of fully integrated Computing skills to happen inside the classrooms.

At present there are 415 pupils on roll, ranging from ‘rising fives’ to children of eleven. The children in the two reception classes work together in a large purposely-designed spacious area with outdoor learning taking place in an enclosed courtyard. Throughout the rest of the school, the children are organised into two classes per year group. Class sizes currently range from 30 to 31. Each class has a class teacher. Additional teachers are employed to provide special needs support for pupils throughout the school and to provide release time for class teachers to work on other duties. In addition, children in the reception classes have the benefit of having a full time teaching assistant each. Other year groups have a mixture of full and part time teaching assistants split into teams which work across the year groups.
